Luteinizing Hormone (LH) is a key hormone produced by the pituitary gland that regulates reproductive function — in women it triggers ovulation and supports the corpus luteum, and in men it stimulates testosterone production in the testes.
This test measures the level of LH in the blood and is used to assess conditions such as infertility, menstrual irregularities, pituitary or gonadal dysfunction, and the onset of puberty.
